Reclaimed blue bullnose bricks used as a windowsill

Bullnose bricks come in many different styles. They have at least one rounded corner or face and are used to soften the corners of openings to doorways and windows. They can also be used on corners of buildings and pillars, as edgings or wall copings, and to create steps or window sills.

Single bullnose bricks (e.g., BN.1.2) have a curve at one end while a double bullnose brick (e.g., BN.2.2) is rounded at opposite ends. Most bullnoses have a curve radius of around 50mm, although this can vary, particularly with older reclaims.

We stock both new semi-glazed and handmade bullnoses, as well as blue, red and buff reclaimed versions. Reclaimed bricks are perfect for patching up existing brickwork or creating a more rustic look.

Our extensive range of Brick Specials includes new (class A and concessions) and reclaimed bricks. Concessions are fully compliant with building regulations but have been purchased as seconds due to minor aesthetic imperfections, allowing us to offer them to customers at large discounts. They are ideal either where products won’t be seen or a variable, non-standard appearance is desirable.

We also have various new, handmade brick specials. These are new, handmade bricks traditionally made in moulds that replicate the appearance of reclaimed bricks but are reliably available in larger quantities. They are frost-proof and made with authentic colouration and a distressed face for a convincing reclaimed look.
