Building Materials

Watling Reclamation began with reclaimed building materials and they are still at the heart of our passion and experience. Our first major project, around 20 years ago, was construction of a courtyard of offices at Pury Hill Business Park. We’ve continued adding buildings on that site, as well as renovating Cuttle Mill Business Park where Watling Reclamation is based.

If you’re looking to build sustainably, reclaimed materials are the ecologically sound and aesthetically pleasing choice. Whether brick, stone, slate, clay, or timber, reclaimed building materials have a character and charm that only comes with age. For listed buildings and conservation areas, reclaims may be the only choice.

Variety of Products

For building projects with a little more flexibility, we supplement our extensive range of salvaged products with carefully selected new building materials. These complement them, such as handmade bricks and brick specials and new building and walling stone from local quarries. Many of these products are created using the same traditional methods as the reclaimed versions.

For walls, we have an excellent range of reclaimed and handmade bricks, bagged local stone like limestone, sandstone and ironstone. We also have one of the largest selections of reclaimed wall copings in the country and a large variety of pier caps. We also have a various options in worked architectural stone including reclaimed and new sills, lintels, steps, quoins, arches and columns.

For roofing, we stock quantities of reclaimed slates in almost every size, plus large numbers of clay roof tiles.  There’s also a comprehensive selection of ridge tiles including crested and ornamental styles in both red and blue clay.
