Heavy Duty Mixed Light Granite Cobbles (Reclaimed)

These reclaimed, heavy duty, granite cobbles come in a random blend of lighter colours including tones of grey, brown, buff, blue and pink.  The average width is 4″ in various lengths. Approximately  2.5 – 3  sqm per bag when laid.

These cobbles are ideal for driveways, courtyards, entrance aprons or anywhere where traffic might damage softer surfaces. They can also be used for drainage or laid decoratively in three- or five-band cobbled borders. On steep slopes, they provide added grip for vehicles.

Granite cobbles are the most hard-wearing and heavy duty of paving surfaces and are well suited for even the most high traffic areas today. These reclaimed cobbles have well-weathered and rounded tops that have been worn smooth by centuries of wear from iron-shod horses, iron cartwheels and hobnail boots. The mixed colours are derived from the historical practice of sourcing small batches from many quarries across the country and laying them together. When wet, the quartz and mica elements of granite give it its characteristic sparkle.

NB The colours are random and may change from bag to bag. We recommend the traditional method of mixing from different bags as the cobbles are laid. (Apologies, but we cannot cherry-pick orders for colour matching on cobbles or setts.)
