Self-binding gravel, also known as self-binding path gravel or self-binding aggregate, is a type of gravel that forms a compact and stable surface when properly installed. Unlike traditional loose gravel, it binds together to create a solid and durable pathway or surface.
This gravel is typically made up of a mixture of aggregates, including crushed stones, sand, and clay. The clay content is what gives the gravel its binding properties when compacted.
Our gravel is supplied in bulk bags and coverage varies on how deep the product is laid. Each bag contains approx 810-850kg.

Proper installation is essential for achieving the desired results with self-binding gravel. The process involves preparing the area by excavating and leveling the ground, ensuring proper drainage, and compacting a sub-base layer. The self-binding gravel is then spread evenly over the area and compacted using a vibrating plate compactor or roller. The compaction process helps activate the binding properties of the gravel, creating a firm and stable surface.
Provides a practical and visually appealing option for creating durable pathways and surfaces. Its binding properties, combined with its permeability and low maintenance requirements, make it a popular choice for both residential and commercial landscaping projects.
