The Watling Reclamation Team

The Watling Reclamation Team of friendly office and yard staff are always ready to answer your questions.  Moreover, their knowledge of reclaimed building materials, architectural salvage, paving and garden features can help with your next project.

Lee Barrett
Branch Manager

Lee Barrett

Lee has almost 20 years experience working within the Builders Merchants and DIY industry. Consequently, he's built up a broad and deep knowledge of all things building and materials related. Lee joined the Watling Reclamation team having previously been with a timber and landscaping firm. Before that, he was an area manager for a national building plastics merchant.
“I'm very excited to have joined Watling Reclamation, there's great potential for this family-run business. I believe we offer so much more than traditional reclamation yards or DIY merchants. Supplying the right products at the right price for all our new and existing customers is key to our future.“
Lee has a new found passion for gardening and growing his own. On his days off, you’ll probably find him down his allotment, rain or shine! If he’s not there, he’ll probably be at home with his family including his two young children- Kaetlyn and Charlie.
Ashleigh (Ash) Cracknell
Office Manager

Ashleigh Cracknell

Ash has over 20 years experience in Customer Service. She's previously worked at a national Bank and more recently within the automotive industry. Consequently, Ash has been a great asset to the Watling Reclamation team since joining. If you’ve called into us recently, you’re likely to have spoken to Ash, on the telephone or our service counter. Ash is always more than happy to deal with any enquiry and prides herself on her customer service. She's especially concerned with helping customers find the right product for their projects. As a result, we’re really pleased to have her on board!
Ash has two young children; Todd and Lilly that keep her on her toes when she’s not at work. She loves staying active and a great animal lover; regularly caring after her chickens and ducks. She’s also partial to the odd bit of jiu-jitsu.
Neil Bennett
Yard Supervisor

Neil Bennett

George Plant

Prior to joining the Watling Reclamation team, George came from an engineering based background, working with a local formula 1 team to solve problems and ensuring the company could deliver on time- a set of skills which make him the ideal person for our busy yard. When you come and visit our yard on Saturdays, George will be there to assist you choosing the right product and loading up your vehicle. If you’re placing a delivery order, George will be the man who carefully hand picks your products.
George loves his cars and isn’t afraid to get dirty under his beloved Mini. He also enjoys walking his dog, Dexter and attending motocross- a real petrolhead!

We have an enthusiastic new Watling Reclamation Team on board, coming from many different walks of life. But they are all looking forward to helping you find just the right solutions for your building or garden project. Whatever you’re planning, large or small improvements, pop in to talk it over with us. From full restoration to small sanctuary in your garden, the Watling Reclamation team can help you through the options. Interested in reclaimed bricks, suitable wall copings and pier caps, windows and doors, drop by to chat. Take a walk through the statue garden with us to get the stories they tell. Or join us in a rummage of the antique roof tiles where a handprint is worth a thousand words.

Beyond The Yard

Among the Watling Reclamation team, we have on-site a stone mason and a carpenter. These craftsmen restore new arrivals, from minor cracks to rejoining separated sections. Additionally, they make certain what we have is sold in a useful state.

We’re always happy to take a walk through the yard and barns where new stock arrives regularly. Items from Italy, France and, of course, from all over the United Kingdom.
