Handmade Yorkshire Rugs – Measuring: 114cm x 62cm
These beautiful handmade rugs are made in the Yorkshire Dales on a peg loom. The peg loom is one of the oldest forms of weaving, and the rugs are made from selvedge, which is a bi-product of the weaving industry.
When Scottish highland tweed is cut from the loom, strips left are gathered and called selvedge. It would normally go to landfill, however, these rugs have used the selvedge to create gorgeous items for your home. The selvedge is from two sources, one in Guiseley, Yorkshire and the other from a weaver on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
Each rug is unique, carefully designed, handmade to the best quality possible and should last a very long time.
