These cast iron floor grilles combine strength, durability and distinctive style. The grilles show surface corrosion, small patches of lichen and even remnants of foliage. Some have sustained damage, clearly visible in the photographs. Suitable as greenhouse drainage grilles, garden partition ‘windows’, or even part of a larger water feature.

These cast iron floor grilles combine strength, durability and distinctive style. Cast iron itself dates back to ancient China, but it rose to prominence in Britain during the Industrial Revolution. These particular reclaimed cast iron floor grilles measure 6 inches wide and vary in length, with complete sections reaching 36 inches. Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, offering dependable strength. As expected with reclaimed ironwork, the grilles show surface corrosion, small patches of lichen and even remnants of foliage. Some have sustained damage, clearly visible in the photographs. However, refurbishment can restore them, allowing their original presence and function to shine once more.
