This reclaimed narrow hardwood fire surround is a beautifully compact piece with distinctive vintage character. Indeed, measuring only 78cm wide, it was clearly designed for a very small fireplace. Furthermore, its modest size suggests original use in intimate rooms or perhaps as one of several fireplaces within a larger home. Made from hardwood, likely Elm, it remains solid and weighty despite its age. In addition, the grey paint softens its appearance, while areas of peeling, discolouration and scuffing reveal its authentic reclaimed nature.
