This wall mounted lion head water feature adds character and movement to any garden setting. Crafted from composite stone, it combines strength, versatility and natural appearance. Composite stone is formed by blending crushed stone with resin or cement, creating a durable material that mimics real stone. It resists frost, moisture and wear, making it ideal for outdoor features that must endure the changing seasons. Because of its adaptability, composite stone is widely used for garden ornaments, fountains and architectural accents.
The wall mounted design of this lion head water feature means planning the water supply is essential before installation. Concealing the pipework allows the focus to rest entirely on the sculpted lion head, enhancing its presence and visual impact. Once water flows from the mouth, it adds gentle sound and movement, bringing a calming atmosphere to the garden.
Finished with an aged surface, this lion head water feature already displays subtle environmental discolouration and soft lichen-like tones. The weathered patina helps it settle naturally into an established garden, blending effortlessly with surrounding stone or planting. In contrast, it can also provide a rustic counterpoint to contemporary materials such as concrete or steel. Measuring approximately 50 centimetres high and 37 centimetres wide, it offers a modest yet distinctive focal point.
For greater effect, a grouping of two or more lion head water features creates a striking symmetrical display. When paired with a reclaimed stone trough or basin, the flowing water produces a serene and reflective space. The combination of aged texture and soft sound encourages a sense of quiet and balance outdoors.
Using composite stone ensures the feature retains its appearance while remaining lighter and easier to install than natural carved stone. Furthermore, its durability guarantees long lasting beauty with minimal maintenance. Each water feature brings artistry and practicality together, offering a crafted expression of classic design. Whether used as a single feature or part of a broader garden scheme, it adds history, texture and gentle movement to the landscape.
