Blue Concrete Ridge Tiles- Roll Top

These reclaimed blue concrete ridge tiles provide a practical and characterful solution for finishing traditional and modern rooflines. Ridge tiles sit along the peak of a roof, sealing the joint between two slopes. This positioning prevents water ingress while protecting the most exposed part of the structure.

Concrete has played a key role in construction since Roman times, when early mixes created strong and durable structures. Modern concrete developed during the nineteenth century, allowing consistent and affordable building products to be manufactured at scale. As a result, roofing components such as ridge tiles became widely available and reliable.

Concrete works exceptionally well for roofing because it offers strength, weather resistance, and long term durability. It withstands frost, wind, and heavy rain without significant deterioration. As a result, blue concrete ridge tiles are a dependable choice for exposed roof areas.

These particular blue concrete ridge tiles reflect the appearance of Staffordshire Blue ridge tiles, a popular Victorian roofing style. Their colour and finish echo the deep blue tones associated with traditional fired clay products. In addition, the roll top profile reinforces this historic look while maintaining a practical form.

Measuring between seventeen and twenty inches in length, these blue concrete ridge tiles cover large sections of roof with fewer pieces. This reduces installation time and helps control project costs. The tiles suit roof pitches between one hundred and one hundred and fifteen degrees, with mortar used to secure them accurately.

Ready for Reuse

As reclaimed materials, these blue concrete ridge tiles show signs of previous use and handling. You will notice patches of mortar, minor edge wear, surface scratches, and small chips across the stock. However, the tiles remain in very good condition and are ready for reuse on another roof.

Reusing these concrete ridge tiles offers clear environmental and practical benefits. It reduces waste, limits demand for new production, and preserves valuable building resources. Additionally, reclaimed tiles blend more easily into existing roofs due to their aged appearance.

Beyond roofing, concrete ridge tiles also suit creative landscaping applications. For example, they can form distinctive lawn edging when set upright and partially buried. With some planning, they can even become part of a durable and visually interesting water feature.
