UltraScape SlipBond brick slip adhesive delivers reliable performance for both internal and external cladding projects. This flexible adhesive suits a wide range of applications, including walls, floors, and installation systems. It provides a strong bond for brick slips and natural stone across varied substrates.
UltraScape SlipBond brick slip adhesive contains blended cements, graded fillers, and specialist additives. In addition, it includes a high level of re-dispersible powder polymer for enhanced flexibility and strength. This formulation ensures consistent performance, even in demanding environments.
Moreover, UltraScape SlipBond brick slip adhesive offers extended workability, allowing more time for accurate placement. This feature benefits both professionals and skilled DIY users during installation. It bonds effectively to sand and cement render, brick, and blockwork. Consequently, it suits a wide variety of construction and renovation projects.
Importantly, UltraScape SlipBond brick slip adhesive performs well in all weather conditions. Its frost resistant properties make it especially suitable for exterior use in the UK climate. As a result, installations remain secure even during colder periods.
How To Use SlipBond
Preparation plays a key role in achieving the best results with this high quality brick slip adhesive. First, remove all loose material, grease, paint, and surface contaminants. Then thoroughly dampen the substrate with clean water before application. However, ensure no excess water remains on the surface.
To mix this UltraScape SlipBond adhesive, slowly add the powder to 5.2 litres of clean water per 20 kilogram bag. Mix thoroughly for three minutes using a forced action mixer where possible. This process creates a smooth, slump free, and easily workable mortar.
Once mixed, UltraScape SlipBond is ready for immediate use and offers a pot life of around two hours at 20 degrees Celsius. Therefore, only mix what you can use within that time. Do not remix or add extra water after initial mixing.
For application, use a trowel and apply firm pressure to achieve a strong bond. Additionally, back butter large stone pieces before fixing. Ensure placement occurs within 25 minutes of applying the mortar bed.
