Building & Walling Stone

We supply both Northamptonshire ironstone and limestone building & walling stone. Ironstone is darker than limestone and sandstone, used by Northamptonshire’s builders for centuries. There are now very few quarries and it is becoming increasingly hard to obtain. If our stock levels show out of stock we may still be able to source this stone direct from the quarry for you, please get in touch.

Our limestone building stone is sourced from Lincolnshire and the Cotswolds. Lincolnshire limestone is lighter in colour than Cotswold stone but is stronger and therefore more cost-effective as it doesn’t need to be as thick. This stone built many towns and villages throughout Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties.

All of our building & walling stone is supplied hand cropped & dressed in tonne bags of mixed course sizes. Due to the rarity of this stone, our stock levels vary. Please call us on 01327 811888 to discuss your requirements in more detail.
