Transform your interior space with genuine reclaimed finger parquet oak flooring. Crafted from dense, durable and aged oak wood, this timber displays rich golden-brown hues and tight grain structures. Furthermore, thousands of homeowners choose finger parquet to create striking geometric patterns such as herringbone and block squares as in the photographs.
First, small slats assemble into distinct ‘basketweave’ panels. This arrangement creates dynamic visual texture across large floors, whereas the ever popular herringbone works best on smaller hallway and sitting room floors. Consequently, finger mosaic flooring offers superior dimensional stability compared to wide solid planks. Smaller individual blocks resist warping and movement during seasonal humidity shifts. Therefore, this reclaimed finger parquet oak flooring works brilliantly in high-traffic residential areas.
Each individual finger measures 120mm long by 24mm wide with a 9mm depth. It takes approximately 348 individual fingers cover one square metre. We supply this reclaimed finger parquet wood flooring exclusively by the square metre.
Additionally, the timber features an authentic aged patina. You will notice lightly discoloured varnish, surface wear, and historic marks across the face. On the reverse side, remnants of old bitumen pitch remain. Bitumen is a mid 20th century staple, as builders originally applied pitch for waterproofing and bonding directly to concrete floors. Due to the process of recovery, individual fingers may still be stuck together.
As a result, this reclaimed finger parquet oak flooring requires light refurbishment before installation. You must clean the undersides and sand the top surface after fitting. However, this simple restoration reveals pristine, high-grade wood underneath.
Beyond aesthetic charm, choosing reclaimed timber prevents deforestation. Moreover, salvaged hardwood lowers carbon footprints by reusing old materials. You secure a historic, sustainable floor full of genuine heritage. Order your reclaimed finger parquet oak flooring today to start your renovation project.
