French Style Wall Basket-Antique

This antique French style wall basket features a classic oval design crafted with a central fleur de lis and delicate wire scrollwork. Although these authentic French style wall baskets remain fully usable, particularly when fitted with fresh coco coir liners to support growing plants, they now require some refurbishment to return to their former glory.

French Style Wall Basket-Antique

This antique French style wall basket features a classic oval design crafted with a central fleur de lis and delicate wire scrollwork. In addition, elegant c scrolls feature around the semi circular rim. Originally painted black, continuous use across the decades has worn away the paint and naturally corroded the wrought iron base. As a result, this original wear creates a beautifully discoloured patina that adds immediate character to garden walls.

Furthermore, these authentic French style wall baskets remain fully usable, particularly when fitted with fresh coco coir liners to support growing plants. However, we recommend minor refurbishment before planting to ensure long term stability. Reconnecting the base wirework then gently sanding the basket sets up a good starting point. Afterwards, a good coat of rust inhibitor, followed by black paint, makes this basket ready for further years of service.
