Enhance your landscaping project with these exceptional and uncommon reclaimed patterned Staffordshire Blue pavers. Their unique design is both practical and visually appealing, creating a standout paved area that’s a talking point in itself. Incredibly durable and hardwearing, these blue pavers have decades of service remaining.
Historically, Staffordshire brickmakers produced these famous pavers using local, iron-rich Etruria marl clay. Manufacturers fired the clay at intense temperatures in a oxygen-reduced kiln atmosphere. Consequently, this specialised process converted red iron oxide into blue sub-oxide, creating an extremely dense, vitrified brick with its iconic dark blue-grey colour. Furthermore, the frog stamp on the reverse reveals their origin from the historic Cakemore works in Rowley Regis.
Unlike common diamond-tread designs, these unusual blue pavers display a distinctive geometric surface pattern with central diamond hubs and interconnecting channels. Crucially, these channels aid the distribution and draining of rainwater. Therefore, the surface maintains excellent grip underfoot, making these unusual reclaimed patterned Staffordshire Blue pavers perfect for garden paths, courtyards, and driveways.
Each heavy-duty paver measures 10 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 2 3/8 inches deep. Additionally, each solid unit weighs a robust 4kg.
Choosing reclaimed patterned Staffordshire Blue pavers delivers outstanding sustainability benefits by repurposing historic building materials and lowering carbon emissions. Furthermore, genuine reclaimed paving materials offer authentic heritage character and weathering that modern factory reproductions cannot match.
Currently, these unusual reclaimed patterned Staffordshire Blue pavers remain in high demand among discerning homeowners and landscape designers alike. As a result, they provide a practical, durable, and visually appealing hardscaping solution that stands the test of time.
