Description

Reclaimed Yorkstone Flagstone Buff/Grey (Mixed Grade) 50-110mm

Reclaimed Yorkstone Flagstone buff/grey colour is a timeless, durable paving option, rich with history and character. Yorkstone, a hard sandstone quarried in Yorkshire for centuries, has been used as paving material since the 14th century. Its natural strength and weather resistance make it a popular choice for both historical and contemporary landscaping projects.

Our reclaimed Yorkstone Flagstone buff/grey, contains two mixed grades of Yorkstone: Cathedral Grade and Mill Grade. Mill Grade Yorkstone is thicker and heavier, used in larger, more prominent areas like grand patios or pathways. It features a rougher, more textured surface, where heavy machines once stood, that enhances its antique appearance. Cathedral Grade Yorkstone, on the other hand, is typically thinner and smoother. Consequently, this makes it ideal for smaller spaces or areas requiring a refined finish. Both grades come with the distinct buff/grey colour, adding versatility to outdoor designs.

The beauty of using mixed reclaimed Yorkstone Flagstone buff/grey, lies in its aged, weathered patina. The stone’s surface tells a story, with its worn edges and subtle imperfections showcasing decades, if not centuries, of use. The natural tones of buff and grey create a neutral yet warm backdrop, suitable for a variety of garden styles. Reclaimed materials also offer sustainability benefits, reducing the need for newly quarried stone, minimising the environmental impact of new construction.

These reclaimed Yorkstone flagstones buff/grey, are perfect for patios, offering a solid foundation for outdoor seating areas. Mixed, they also work beautifully for garden paths, guiding visitors with a timeless look. Additionally, their strength makes them suitable for high-traffic areas like driveways, standing up to the demands of daily use while maintaining their character.

By choosing reclaimed mixed Yorkstone, you bring history, durability, and sustainability to your outdoor space, all wrapped in the beauty of natural stone.
