Indian Sandstone Paving

Our natural Indian sandstone paving is from Rajasthan, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world. It is extremely hard wearing and frost resistant, much more so than even our native York stone. These slabs are calibrated to either 22mm or 30mm thickness and come in a selection of colours. Colours include Fossil MintKandla GreyHeritage GreyRaj Blend, and Sunset Buff.

Indian sandstone paving is an economical alternative to traditional York stone flags and is suitable for drives, patios and pathways. These slabs feature a naturally riven surface where the stone is split and hand-fettled edges for a traditional finish. All of our ranges are hand tumbled, giving a velvety surface and naturally softened edges.

Our Heritage Grey and Kandla Grey sandstone ranges are particularly similar to reclaimed York flagstones and are best sellers for period and character properties. Fossil Mint has the added feature of genuine fossil prints on some slabs, and works beautifully with light stone (such as Cotswold limestone) and buff brick buildings. Sunset Buff is a best-seller for matching with ochre-toned stone such as ironstone or Northamptonshire sandstone.

Many of our natural stone slabs also have matching sets and blocks available to create edges and divides. You can view these on our paving blocks and setts pages.

We source our Indian stone from a family-run business that trades ethically.
