Introduce genuine industrial history to your property with these reclaimed Broxap cast iron bollards. These items feature the classic ‘Blackpool’ design, displaying a distinctive rolled rim and a low domed top. Consequently, this aesthetic closely mimics the original 1805 cannon and ball bollards erected after the Battle of Trafalgar. Other designs are available.
These genuine Broxap cast iron bollards show clear signs of age and prior roadside use. Specifically, you will notice peeling green, black, and gold paint alongside surface rust in exposed scratches. Furthermore, the bases retain remnants of concrete from their original installation groundworks.
Minor removal damage exists on the embedded sections of one or two pieces. However, this marking remains completely hidden once you install the units.
Measuring 5½ inches in diameter and 39 inches in height, these heavy-duty Broxap cast iron bollards provide excellent structural presence for various layout designs. Indeed, they work beautifully lining a private driveway or restricting vehicular traffic across commercial landscapes. Alternatively, they offer a unique design focus when arranged as the centrepiece of a large garden sundial. Additionally, the embedded section measures 9 inches diameter and 12 inches deep, ensuring a solid installation.
You can install these Broxap cast iron bollards immediately if your project requires a raw, weathered industrial aesthetic. Otherwise, the solid cast iron structure takes paint beautifully if you choose to blast and refurbish the surface.

Naturally, choosing these salvaged cast iron bollards offers clear advantages over buying modern replicas:
Environmental Sustainability: Reusing heavy ironwork prevents energy-intensive melting and manufacturing processes. As a result, this lowers your project carbon footprint significantly.
Authentic Historical Value: Mass-produced modern alternatives cannot replicate the weight, texture, and genuine historical narrative of older foundry castings. As a result, these bollards remain sought after.
Exceptional Physical Longevity: Antique cast iron resists deep corrosion remarkably well. Moreover, this durability means these bollards will outlast many modern fabricated steel alternatives in damp conditions.
