Composite Stone Window Sills Reclaimed

Reclaimed composite stone window sills offer a practical and visually sympathetic choice for both renovation work and new build projects. Composite stone is a man-made material that combines crushed natural stone with cement-based binders. It replicates the appearance of real stone while offering greater consistency, strength and weather resistance. This makes it ideal for exterior masonry elements, especially those exposed to the elements like window sills.

These composite stone window sills are sold per linear metre and come in varying lengths. Although, each sill measures 25cm deep and 12cm high, tapering to 10cm at the outer edge. The outer sill includes a drip channel that directs water away from the wall beneath. As a result, this helps prevent water ingress and long-term structural damage.

Years of exposure have gently weathered these reclaimed composite stone window sills. Each one shows surface ageing, with environmental discolouration and occasional patches of lichen. The result is a softer, more natural look, much like quarried stone. These signs of age allow the sills to blend easily into existing stonework during refurbishment projects.

However, these window sills also work well in new construction. Their aged appearance brings subtle visual texture to modern designs. No two sills are exactly alike, which adds character to the overall finish. The proportions and drip detail remain consistent, ensuring function is never compromised.

Environmental Choice

Reusing materials like these composite stone window sills supports a more sustainable way of building. It reduces waste and limits the demand for freshly quarried or manufactured alternatives. This cuts down on energy use and lowers a project’s carbon footprint.

Importantly, reclaimed materials often offer superior longevity. They’ve already endured years of exposure and remain structurally sound. That history proves their durability and reliability.

With their practical design, proven resilience and aged stone appearance, reclaimed composite stone sills offer a responsible and attractive solution. Whether used in repair work or new projects, they combine performance with visual integrity.
