Description

Reclaimed Blue Ironstone Flag Stones (Various Sizes) Sold per Square Yard

These reclaimed blue Ironstone flagstones were salvaged from a Warwickshire farmhouse. Their rich history is visible in every surface. Some stones show traces of old red paint, a reminder of past interior use. Others display wear from generations of footfall, lending the stone an aged, lived-in appearance. Over time, these flagstones have taken on unique surface patinas, impossible to replicate with new stone.

Ironstone is a hard, sedimentary rock, known for its density and weather resistance. The blue Ironstone from Great Tew quarry in Oxfordshire is especially prized. It features deep, cool tones ranging from soft slate grey to rich, dusky blue. Subtle iron-rich veining gives the stone a distinctive texture and character. These natural colours make reclaimed blue Ironstone flagstones ideal for both interior and exterior paving.

This large batch covers more than 19 square yards and is available by the square yard. Stones come in various sizes and can be matched to your design. Within reason, individual selection is possible, helping tailor the layout to your space. Each pallet is carefully calculated, making it easy to expand your order for larger projects.

Eco-friendly Choice

Using reclaimed blue Ironstone flagstones brings both aesthetic and environmental benefits. The aged look adds historical depth to any setting, from a garden path to a kitchen floor. At the same time, reusing stone reduces the demand for new quarrying, lowering environmental impact. Because these flagstones have already weathered over time, they’re well suited to long-term durability in new settings.

Reclaimed blue Ironstone flagstones also connect your project to local heritage. Their Oxfordshire origin and farmhouse past give them a story worth continuing. Whether you’re restoring a period property or adding texture to a modern space, they offer substance and style. Each piece has seen decades of use and carries that sense of place forward.

When you choose reclaimed blue Ironstone flagstones, you’re choosing quality with a past, ready to shape the future of your space.

Combine with Ironstone walling stone to create a sheltered patio.
