Enhance your architectural project with authentic reclaimed Cambridge plinth stretcher bricks. Local craftsmen made these vintage bricks from pale Gault clay in Cambridgeshire. Consequently, this iconic buff-yellow clay features prominently in historical buildings across the South East.
At time of writing, we offer a small batch of 47 vintage bricks, sold individually. Each brick displays rich history, featuring surface discolouration, chips, marks, and natural lichen. Furthermore, remnants of old mortar remain inside many of the perforations. However, the mortar is easily removed with use of a brick hammer. These weathered details help reclaimed Cambridge plinth stretcher bricks blend seamlessly into period properties. Alternatively, they provide an immediate weathered aesthetic for new build developments.
Additionally, using reclaimed walling preserves heritage while offering substantial environmental benefits. Reusing salvaged brickwork reduces manufacturing waste and conserves finite natural resources.
Each plinth stretcher brick measures 9 inches long by 4 1/8 inches wide with a 2 3/4 inch depth. Furthermore, every individual piece weighs 3.5 kilograms. We also include one rare matching corner brick at the standard price.

Likewise, the functional perforations provide distinct structural benefits. The internal holes reduce overall brick weight for easier handling during installation. Furthermore, mortar penetrates these voids to form a stronger mechanical bond. Invest in reclaimed Cambridge plinth stretcher bricks to add genuine character to your property.
