Description

Teak Finger Parquet Flooring 115mm long

Teak finger parquet flooring brings rich texture and long-lasting performance to interior spaces. Finger parquet is a style made up of small wooden fingers, usually set in a repeating block or herringbone pattern. This flooring style became popular in the mid-20th century, especially in public buildings and modern homes. Its geometric look suits both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Teak is a tropical hardwood prized for its exceptional strength, weather resistance, and long lifespan. Indoors, teak finger parquet flooring can last indefinitely with only light maintenance. Teak naturally resists rot, pests, and moisture, making it one of the most durable woods available. Over time, varnished indoor teak develops a rich, reddish hue. Outdoors, untreated teak slowly turns silver-grey due to oxidation from UV exposure and rain.

This small batch of reclaimed teak finger parquet flooring covers approximately 40 square metres. It’s ideal for studies, entranceways, or for patching into an existing parquet floor. Each reclaimed tile shows signs of previous use—scratches, mild discolouration, and the lino backing from its earlier installation. These features highlight its history and make each piece unique.

Sustainable Choice

Using reclaimed wood flooring like this helps reduce demand for newly harvested timber. It also prevents quality hardwood from ending up in landfill. Reclaimed teak finger parquet flooring offers the same strength and longevity as new wood but with added character. It supports sustainable building practices while delivering a distinctive finish.

Because teak is so tough, these reclaimed pieces remain solid and usable even after decades of service. Once cleaned and reinstalled, they continue to perform for years to come. Reclaimed teak flooring not only adds warmth and texture but also tells a story. It’s a smart and responsible choice for adding detail to any interior, especially in smaller, well-used spaces.
