This reclaimed composite stone tree and squirrels bird bath brings gentle narrative and wildlife interest into any garden setting. Inspired by nature, the design echoes rainwater gathered within the curve of a twisted tree limb. Sculpted squirrels cling playfully to the form, therefore adding charm without overwhelming the natural theme.
The tree and squirrels bird bath shows careful original casting, although heavy weathering now softens much of that detail. Lichen and moss spread across the surface, gradually blurring edges and enriching the piece with visual depth. Additionally, environmental discolouration from decades outdoors further masks the original designwork beneath a mellow patina. This ageing can be cleaned away; however, many prefer the authenticity it brings to established planting schemes. As a result, the tree and squirrel bird bath blends easily with mature gardens and weathered architectural features.
Composite stone consists of crushed stone mixed with cement and binders, then cast into detailed moulds. Therefore, it captures fine texture while remaining dense, durable, and well suited to year round outdoor use. Composite stone also resists frost and moisture, making it ideal for bird baths and other exposed garden features. Over time, it weathers naturally rather than failing, gaining character instead of structural weakness.
Placed within lush planting, this piece provides a gentle counterpoint to leaves, grasses, and natural growth. Alternatively, positioned alone on a wide lawn, the tree and squirrel bird bath draws the eye and invites pause. It encourages quieter moments, reminding onlookers to slow down and watch visiting birds. Standing approximately 90 centimetres tall, it keeps smaller birds safely above common garden predators.
The bird bath comes in two pieces, with the column and base separate from the bowl. Consequently, it remains easier to move, allowing repositioning when planting plans or moods change.
Choosing reclaimed garden features reduces waste and limits demand for newly manufactured materials. Moreover, reclaimed pieces introduce individuality, as natural weathering ensures no two examples appear identical. They also bring immediate maturity, helping gardens feel settled without years of waiting. The tree and squirrel bird bath demonstrates how reclaimed objects combine sustainability with enduring garden enjoyment.
