Blue Double Bullnose Bricks provide an affordable yet high-performing option for construction and landscaping projects. These new (concession) bricks feature a semi-glazed finish and deliver exceptional compressive strength, low water absorption, and excellent frost resistance. Structurally equivalent to Class A bricks, they are available at a fraction of the price. Consequently, this makes them a practical and economical choice.
Staffordshire Blue bricks, which inspire Blue Double Bullnose Bricks, boast a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Manufactured using Etruria Marl clay from Staffordshire, England, these bricks are fired at extremely high temperatures in a reducing atmosphere. This traditional process produces their characteristic blue-black tones, dense structure, and remarkable weather resistance. Understandably, these qualities are all highly valued for building and paving.
A double bullnose brick features rounded edges on both ends, creating a smooth, symmetrical design ideal for elegant curves and seamless finishes. This distinguishes them from calf nose bricks, which have a less pronounced curve on one side only. The dual rounded edges of Blue Double Bullnose Bricks make them particularly versatile for applications requiring smooth transitions and refined aesthetics.
Common uses for Blue Double Bullnose Bricks include coping stones for walls, edging for steps, or borders for paths and garden features. Indeed, their smooth, rounded edges enhance safety and create a polished look, blending functionality with visual appeal. These bricks are especially useful in areas requiring durable and weather-resistant materials that maintain their appearance over time.
As concession bricks, they may feature slight imperfections such as glaze variations, minor cracks, or subtle differences in colour. These variations, ranging from deep blue-black to brindle-brown, add character and ensure each project is unique.
Measuring 215mm long, 100mm wide, and 65mm high, Blue Double Bullnose Bricks offer a robust yet stylish solution for outdoor and architectural projects. Additionally, their high quality and timeless appeal make them an excellent choice for traditional and contemporary designs alike.
Choose Blue Bricks to combine strength, style, and sustainability in your next building or landscaping project. Indeed, with their rich history and versatile design, they bring enduring beauty and practicality to any space.
